[ENGL] HOW I SAVED MY HAIR FROM A HAIRCUT : HAIRFOOD PRODUCTS.

A little bit of backstory
before I reveal my secret to the world :

I started dying my hair at the age of 15. My dad allowed me to do it, just to piss off my mom. So I dyed it black. That was when I was trying to become Myspace famous and make it to the Emo scene. Never really worked, hairspray was too expensive for the poor teeanger I was. Then I dyed my hair red, then blue, then black again, then purple. If that wasn't bad enough, I was straightening it, everyday, if not twice a day. Obviously, my hair started falling out. I mean, you might have seen this one coming, but I didn't. I completely freaked out and stopped everything to let my natural hair grow back.

I lasted 3 years. Then I decided I wanted to be blond and bleached everything. I even added some pink in my hair for Halloween. One day, I asked a friend to do my roots and god knows what she did but she turned my roots orange. She didn't understand why I was so upset. I don't think she realized HOW MUCH MONEY I had spent on my hair to get this cheap wannabe blond. So I went back to brunette and life was boring again. Yes, blondes do have more fun. But no one told me how hard it would be to keep my hair dark after I bleached it ! My hair was completely destroyed, couldn't do anything with it. I was so close to pull a Britney 2007. I tried a few different shampoos and conditioners but nothing seemed to work until...

HAIR FOOD BY CLAIROL

I have never had that many compliments on my hair since I started using this brand. My hair is shiny, soft and super healthy. No more split ends and bye bye dryness ! My hair says "thank you so much you're da bomb I love you". So what's the deal with this shampoo and conditioner ?

→ What is it ? Its formula is paraben free, silicone free and oil free. The less chemicals the better !  I personally use the honey and peach shampoo. This one helps to repair the hair.

How do I use it ? I personally wash my hair every other day and use the conditioner after every shampoo. I started to see the results after a week.

Where to get it ? If you live in the United States, you can find these products in Target. Otherwise, they are available on Amazon. (9.99 $US )

Final thoughts :  I will totally buy more from this brand and continue to use this shampoo. The results were amazing on my hair. I really feel the difference and my hair smells soooo good !

SHEAMOISTURE :

Manuka Honey & Mafura Oil Intensive Hydration Hair Masque

This deep conditioning hairmask was the icing on the cake. I saw this mask on the shelves and read "honey" something, and I was sold. I think it works very well with the hairfood products. I have tried hundreds of hairmasks (maybe not "hundreds"...but...a lot !) and this one is the best I have ever bought so far !

→ What is it ? "This masks intensely conditions while infusing hair with a powerful dose of moisture and nutrients. Certified organic Shea Butter, Honey, Mafura and Baobab Oils are blended with antioxidant-rich African Rock Fig to restore and lock in moisture while deeply conditioning. Smoothes and fortifies follicles for stronger, healthier frizz-free hair". (naturallyCurly.com)

→ How do I use it ? I use it once a week, usually before the weekend when I know I'm going to play with my hair : curl it, straighten it, use hairspray... I leave it on for 5 minutes in the shower, after shampooing and conditioning my hair. Then I rinse my hair and brush it.

→ Where to get it ? I found it in Target but you can find it on NaturallyCurly.com or Amazon.(11.99 $US)

→ Final thoughts : Great product. The texture is pretty thick which is always a good sign for me. I always say "the thicker the better". This is now my go to hairmask . I don't even want to risk trying anything else.
